Grand Canyon National Park, Dec. 23-26, 2012, Jan. 7-9, 2013

I had the good fortune of visiting the Grand Canyon TWICE in a month! Oliver and I spent a special Christmas there (12/23 - 26) and stayed in the historic El Tovar Lodge. As you will see, the hotel was decorated for Christmas and was absolutely enchanting. Madison and I stayed in a rimside cabin in the Bright Angel Lodge during her visit from 1/7 - 9. We hiked in the Canyon every day we were there, including Christmas Eve in a snowstorm! The food was terrific everywhere we went and we all really enjoyed our time in the Park. The Grand Canyon is a place that cannot be described in words and these photos just do not do it justice. We would all go back in a second as the Canyon changes throughout the day, throughout the months, and with the seasons. I hope to be able to hike it rim-to-rim someday soon......
